Personal Accident & Travel

Personal Accident & Travel Insurance covers the cost to the company of death, total, partial permanent or temporary disablement arising during the period of employment, by employees whilst travelling overseas.

These benefits are in addition to the statutory requirements for Employers Liability or Workers Compensation which cover the employees usual place of work and provide extended benefits such as the disability amounts stated for death or disablement.

In addition coverage can be extended to include Routine Medical Treatment, Medical Evacuation and Emergency Medical Treatment by a qualified registered practitioner outside of the Employees usual country of residence together with the cost of additional persons in travelling with or escorting the employee back their country of residence, where so specified.

The coverage can also be extended to include travel expenses including loss of baggage, passport and personal belongings, delay costs due to cancellation of flights and additional accomodation costs when specified.

Funeral Expenses and Repatriation Costs and the return of property and possessions of the deceased to their country of residence, or the cost incurred on returning to a country of residence to attend the unexpected funeral of a relative under 80 years of age may also be included.

Travel Insurance

Dedicated Travel Insurance is also available to cover the cost of travel delays, cancellation or curtailment, missed connections and delays due to hi-jack.

Replacement expenses for lost passport or baggage, and personal belongings may also be included.

Expenses incurred due to injury, illness, quarantine, jury service, subpoena, hijack, strike, riot or civil commotion of or necessitated to attend damage to the insured persons place of residence by storm, fire or flood can also be added.
